Dear clients and community,
The past few weeks we’ve seen that markets have been bumpy. It’s important to remember that despite being unsettling, market declines are a normal and inevitable part of investing. Stock market dips of 10% or more, ironically called “corrections,” happen on average once every two years. The last time the market “corrected” was October 2020, about 15 months ago. When this happens, it’s a great time to revisit our plan and evaluate whether there may be a buying opportunity, since gains often follow periods of volatility. Despite the ups and downs of the stock market, we can still pursue the things that matter most to us.
Whatever is happening in the market, the start of a new year is a great time for all of us to refresh our wealth visions and ensure that we’re allocating our resources – including time and money – in a way that will pay dividends throughout the year and for years to come.
